With 2009 coming to a close, many employers are scrambling to make
sure they comply with California's strict harassment training law,
AB 1825.
AB 1825 requires any organization that does business in California,
and that has more than 50 employees in total (not all 50 need to
be in CA), to provide 2 hours of anti-harassment training to all
California supervisors, every 2 years.
2009 is a mandatory "re-train" year for most employers.
If you haven't trained your California supervisors yet, it's
not too late.
Be aware that although training isn’t
mandatory until you have 15 employees, it doesn’t mean
that you can’t be sued.
Better to have a policy and training before a possible problem!
If
you haven’t trained at all or need to re-train, please contact Fern
